An earthquake struck part of central Italy (Lazio, Umbria and Marche regions) in the middle of the night, on Wednesday 24 August 2016.
Tremors were also felt in Rome.
No buildings nor people were affected in The Emilia-Romagna Region and its Adriatic coast.
We would like to reassure visitors and people travelling to the region that there are currently no danger or restricted access to monuments or touristic areas.
