WELCOME TO THE OLD ZITA INN the perfect place to eat and sleep at the foot of Mount Cimone. The roots of the Inn date back to the late 19th century. It owes its name to its grandmother Zita, who managed it for many years, until it made the Inn a gastronomic and hospitality reference among the restaurants and hotels of Sestola; Since 1987 we have been continuing, with the same passion, this tradition over a hundred years. The place is ancient, located in the center of the medieval village of Vesale, which is located 5 km from Sestola, the "pearl" of the Emilian Tosco Apennine, and 12 km from the ski resorts of Cimone. It has restaurant, eleven rooms, including two suites with indoor hot tub. In addition, a rooftop sun terrace with a wellness corner with a Finnish sauna and hot tub of up to 10 people is available to all guests. Our culinary specialties are mushroom dishes and those typical of the mountain tradition as well as all the fresh pasta prepared by our kitchen. Vasale is an ancient medieval village, arose around a castle, of which today only a few traces remain. It is a place of absolute tranquility; just sit on a bench and enjoy the view that from valley to valley shows the cucuzzoli of Gaiato, Monte Cuccolo and Monte Specchio, and to punctuate the time the chimes of the bells of the ancient Church of the country, with its abside in the Romanesque style. Not far away flows the beautiful Scoltenna Torrent, verdant among the dark erratic boulders of volcanic origin, lush shady woods and dominates unspoiled nature. For lovers of architecture, just a few kilometers away, the Ponte Vecchio di Olina, the ancient Church of St. Biagio in Roncoscaglia and the Romanesque Pieve of Renno. At 6 km stands Sestola, the pearl of the Apennine, with its famous castle perched. And on all these beauties is Mount Cimone, a ski destination in winter and exciting hiking, horseback riding and Mountain Bike in summer.
