The first stage of the itinerary leads us to the Rocca Meli Lupi of Soragna, the splendid and sumptuous residence of the Princes Meli Lupi that still inhabit it today. Beautiful rooms embellished with furniture and furnishings from the early Baroque period, the Rocca conserves fresco decorations and pictorial cycles by Nicola Dell'Abate, Cesare Baglione, Ferdinando and Francesco Galli Bibiena.

We continue to the Rocca Sanvitale in Fontanellato, which rises in the center of the village surrounded by a large ditch full of water: among its rooms encloses one of the masterpieces of Mannerism, the room painted by Parmigianino in 1524 with the myth of Diana and Actaeon. The noble apartment of Sanvitale is still intact and the only optical Camera operating in Italy, inside which a system of mirrors reflects the image of the square in front of a screen.
