The Fortress of Montefiore: the stone sentinel, the medieval village, pottery workshop
From the
Fortress of Montefiore, one dominates the whole of Romagna, its sea, its countryside and the mountains overlooking Montefeltro. As in all great castles, its walls guard many stories and fascinating legends. Here, between the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, lived the Malatesta, the powerful lords of these lands, the warrior family that marked the history, art and landscape of these hills. The village at the foot of the fortress has remained intact, its countryside and woods producing good things.

Guided tour of the fortress with stories and explanations and a visit to the large panoramic terraces

Instant pottery workshop by the village potter (recommended for children)

village churches (recommended for adults)
- Tasting/snack at the fortress huts with local savoury and sweet products
