Ferrara is the unquestioned “bicycles city” in Italy and its whole territory is perfectly suitable for long quite rides, during which you will almost never feel that you need a break.

Among the most intersting cycling itineraries in the city, we recommend that through the Renaissance City and that through the ancient medieval streets to the Jewish Ghetto and its 3 synagogues (each trail is about 4-km long).
Out of town, we recommend the cycling lane along the Valleys of Comacchio to discover the famous local saltworks, but also for a pic-nic or some bird-watching immersed in this amazing ecosystem.
The protected area of Po Delta Park is entirely suitable for cycling and offers enchanting views.
As an alternative to the valleys, there are other paths outside the city, for example the cycling lane going through the wood Bosco della Mesola arriving to the Port of Goro in 1.5 km.

A weekend to explore the city of Este, its imposing castle and its precious treasures hidden inside and outside the walls, like the beautiful “delights” that dot the surrounding countryside. By bike, following the Po di Volano, you will come to the sea only to admire the natural riches of the Po Delta Park.
Ferrara and the “Destra Po” - 6 days (Ferrara – Ariano nel Polesine – Mesola – Lido delle Nazioni – Comacchio)
Over the centuries, the Po River has redrawn the boundaries and scenery of this area. From the city of the Estensi, a masterpiece of the urban Italian Renaissance, following the course of the Great River, you will traverse the countryside of Ferrara which was created by the Po and further shaped by man.
